I am wondering if we can introduce a NeoQuenya verb pas- with the meaning 'slide, slip, glide'. We already have the attested passa/pasta 'smooth, glabrous', and pasta- 'to smooth, iron'. For attested morpho-analogues there's the pair ces-/cesta-. The past tense would be panse, in analogy to cense.
There is the attested stem talat-, but that seems to be associated with slipping downwards.
