It's that time of the year again... Christmas in a few days. So here is a Quenya translation of the song White Christmas to celebrate, and to thank you all for the wonderful ideas, discussions, poems, and texts that you have posted throughout the year - may all your Chistmases be white as pure snow and warm as a mother's heart.

Óla nin losse Hristonosta
Ovéa néya sintenye
Í aldaringar alkar,
Ar híni lastar
Nyeller nalla lossesse

Óla nin losse Hristonosta
Í tékan ilya meryamenta
Na aurelyar kalime, merye,
Ta lossi Hristonostalyar ilye

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

Thank you, Tamas, and a merry Christmas to you too!

And I 'd very much like to second your wish for white Christmases with a Sindarin version:

Nin oltha Durufui 'losui
sui di in egínen io,
ir i•ngelaidh thiliar, ir hiniath lastar
an nelladel o rasg ví los.

Nin oltha Durufui 'losui
ir teithon in aníraid nîn:
No in oer lîn merin a gail,
a no glys i•Thurufui lîn phain!
