A short poem by Stephen Donaldson.

Sé i metto metta,
Nin pia melehte:
Nanye er kalpa.
Mapan imneo axo-sáva,
Tíran i ende a-urya.

Sé i metto metta,
Nin pia poldore:
Nanye er tamma.
Karin karerya; máryatse
Inye i persaila.

Sé i metto metta,
Nin pia kuile.
Er karda nanye:
Kare kárina yas' huore himya;
Erde.

When last comes to last,
     I have little power:
     I am merely an urn.
I hold the bone-sap of myself,
     And watch the marrow burn.

When last comes to last,
     I have little strength:
     I am only a tool.
I work its work; and in its hands
     I am the fool.

When last comes to last,
     I have little life.
     I am simply a deed:
     an action done while courage holds;
     a seed.

nin pia melehte etc... : "there is to me" > "I have" (attested forms would be too long)
