Aiya! Maquetin le quetto.
In the book "Quentin i Lambë Eldaiva", upon the fourth lesson I fell upon the word "virya-", which means to change. However, there is a parenthetical remark about the word and says "(intr.)" Would that mean that this is the intransitive form of the verb "to change?"
Hantanyel an hlarala nin, ar namárië!
Also, if you question my spelling or grammar usage, please tell me!

Hello Wesley, indeed virya- is the intransitive form of the verb (as in 'the world has changed') and vista- is the transitive ('I have changed my hair, now it's red instead of blond').

Another way of expressing 'about, concerning' (I assume that's what you intended by using the genitive of quetta) is to use the preposition pá/pa.

+Tamas Ferencz Remarkably how the semantic development of pá 'on (above but touching)' > 'concerning, about' is so closely paralleled by the shift in Russian касательно. It ssems that the basic meaning of the word is 'on' (above if horizontal surface, beside if vertical, but being in contact).

Wesley, just noticed your "hantanyel an hlarala nin" - I assume this is meant to be a literal translation of English "thank you for listening to me"? **hlarala (which properly would be hlarila) is an active/adjectival participle, not a gerund, which would be required here, assuming that Quenya uses the same syntax as English (I thank you for something), which we don't really know.

I mean it could be something like hantan len sa lastanelle nin(na) "Thank you [in dative] that you listened to me".

+Wesley Stump Theoretically PE22:110-113. But this was subject to further alteration, mostly to fit the Sindarin data canonized in LotR.
