Is there an "official" list of semantic categories of words we should use when tagging the entries?

+Lőrinczi Gábor I don't have any, but if you have a suggestion, let's discuss.
When we started working on the ill-fated EldarinWiki we used Carl Heinz Buck's categories (which he used to categorise PIE roots), but that may be a little bit too detailed for us here.

Well, I found this site:

http://www.utexas.edu/cola/centers/lrc/iedocctr/ie-ling/ie-sem/

This is a simplified version of Buck's semantic category scheme.

Anyway, I think we should use a uniform scheme (not necessarily the above one) to avoid the disarray of different but overlapping categories.

I actually had the same question, because I've been just tagging them with whatever comes to mind. What will we use?

+Lőrinczi Gábor I really like what you have found, and I agree we could indeed use this as reference, if no one else has an objection.

As a general rule, I categrise my entries with only pre-existing categories/tags, to not swarm the list of categories/tags with categories/tags with only one entry. Shall I continue this practise?
