Can you elaborate on *ót?
This is a tricky one as *alasinwa could also be translated as 'well known'...

I consider the idea of
ala-
= 'well, happily' (PE 17:146,172) ephemeral, since Tolkien used
al(a)
- as a negative prefix both before and after that (
alahasta
,
alfirin
,
alasaila
). I also prefer
la
- to
ua-
for the negative quasi-verb.
