Observation of the Day aka Certainly News to Me:

Its temporal antessive use in http://eldamo.org/content/words/word-1029560541.html would indicate that the "mysterious s-case" of Quenya was at least at one point very convergent with the Terminative case (as employed in Hungarian).
Eldamo : Middle Quenya : qe e·kárie i kirya aldaryas, ni kauva kiryasta menelyas

Not necessary Terminative. Just Temporal. Shihali and me have been using it in this function already for a while.
