I have added words to the VQP from a previous post. I want to add one of these, but I can't make up my mind. Preferences, anyone?

* ogod; och; uguig n. knee - Gn. octha, Qe. okka : cf. lebed = Gn. leptha &c. (the tentative *uguig is from a CE dual *ôkû, cf. lhewig)

Of these, I think I like ogod the best. The form uguig is very unlikely. The u-dual was lost before the diminutive suffix -eg was added, so it only survived in rare cases like lhaw. Compare gwanunig and glamog.

*Ogod would be my favourite too, if I had to pick one. As for *uguig, the assumed existence of *ugu (a natural anatomic pair like lhaw) does not equal assuming any wider survival of the U-dual. From Etym:368 we also see that Tolkien used the suffix -ig to derive lhewig from lhaw.
