How would you express regret in Q/S?

Perhaps Q naina- can take an object.

Looking at the etymology of 'regret', my first thought was to formulate 'weep over/about sth.'. On the second thought, one might expect an impersonal verb. On the third thought, there may be enough volition behind the feeling for a personal verb, so naina- + direct object looks like a very good option.
