This is the translation of a popular Hungarian children's poem written by Sándor Weöres. Weöres was a virtuoso of rhyme and rhythm, who, like many others, was relegated to write children's poetry in the Soviet era. Rumour says he did not like writing for children that much - nevertheless, his poems are perhaps the most beloved and cited children's rhymes in the Hungarian language.

*ainice: 'little angel'
*capince: 'grasshopper' (from cap- 'leap, jump')
*vilta-: 'make fly'
*ettemo: 'stranger, guest' (ET-; I know there is ettelea 'foreign' which is also said to mean 'stranger', but it is rather an adjective in shape, and does not fit the metre anyway)
*etelála: 'laugh forth, laugh out loud' (cf. et-henta)

Bóbita Bóbita táncol,
körben az angyalok ülnek,
béka-hadak fuvoláznak,
sáska-hadak hegedülnek.

Bóbita Bóbita játszik,
szárnyat igéz a malacra,
ráül, igér neki csókot,
röpteti és kikacagja.

Bóbita Bóbita épít,
hajnali köd-fal a vára,
