Is there any trustworthy list attempting to chronicle Tolkien's writings not in the publishing order, but with a tentative order of composition dates? I just found out that Christopher re-dated 'The Description of Númenor' from 1964 in UT to ca. 1960, which totally undermines my previous initial-consonant studies!
