I've release v0.5.5 of Eldamo.

This release finishes both PE14 and the early Qenya name analysis. I've also done some cleanup on the XSD schema definitions for inflections, and added the "search by part of speech" feature that Tamas asked for.

For the first time, I feel like Eldamo is approaching completion. I only have five major publications left, PE15-16, PE18-19 and PE21. Normally when I release Eldamo, I still feel like I am less than half-way through. I finally feel like I've crossed the half-way mark.

Of course, "half way" simply means I think I have less than 9 years left to go, so "approaching completion" has to be taken with a (big) grain of salt. Still, I think I can finish the data entry in only another 3 years and focus exclusively on analysis thereafter.

Eldamo - An Elvish Lexicon. by Paul Strack — v0.5.5 — generated on April 15, 2017 7:56:12 PM PDT. This collection of documents is a lexicon of Tolkien's invented languages, particularly his Elvish languages, which are the most detailed. The collection is called a “lexicon” because it is not a dictionary ...

I know it is a lot of hard work, but we are grateful!

I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't enjoy it. It is, after all, a hobby :)

Rick Spell Apr 17, 2017 (01:42)

Glad you are having fun!

Just playing around with it. Thank you for the parts of speech option. I love it.

For the past weeks, beside having to follow my mandatory military duty, I was mainly working on documenting my project (30 A4 pages so far O.o), but today I started delving into exporting the remaining parts of eldamo I didn't have before. I found two queer entries with the newest eldamo version:

There's two elements which have no source, and according to your documentation as child of uses a source attribute as key:

+Severin Zahler Those look like errors. I need to tighten up the XML schema and have different definitions for word/element and ref/element
